How do I activate a licence?
Only people with a licence can activate their account to use the Constellia application.
When you assign a licence to a user, they receive a licence activation email. If the user did not receive it or lost it, an administrator can resend it.
Receive your licence activation link
Important: a user must activate their licence before they can use the Constellia application.
The first step is to assign a licence to the user. Only administrators can verify this via the admin portal.
- Go to the "Users" menu in your admin portal.
- Find the relevant user in the users table.
- In the "Licence" column, check that the user has a licence assigned but pending activation. This is indicated by the "Pending" label.
If the "Active licence" label is displayed, the user has already activated their licence and can use the application. If they have not yet downloaded the app, you can follow the article below. If the "No licence" label is displayed, the user is an unlicensed administrator. You must assign them a licence so they can receive the activation link by following the procedure below:
Resend the activation link
Important: once the licence activation is complete, the user will be taken to the application download page.
If the user cannot find the activation email, they can ask an administrator to resend the link. As an administrator, follow the steps below:
- Go to the "Users" menu in the admin portal.
- Find the relevant user in the users table.
- Click the three horizontal dots to the right of the user's name.
- Select "Send an activation link".
Troubleshooting and support
- If the user still does not receive the activation email and it is not in their Spam folder, you can repeat the activation link steps above.
